I first was in a Guy’s Frenchys in the late 70’s some where’s in NS. Sackville maybe? Every time I go down in the Shediac area I visit the Guy’s Frenchys. My sister who is a teacher in Toronto comes down every summer and she buys all her clothes at Frenchys for the year. She is not poor or rich, she’s smart.

I just wanted to drop a quick line to let you know how fabulous you are!. I often get comments like, " oh my god, where did you get that?" all I say is "Guy’s Frenchys!" I owe it all to you. I have a young son, (18 months) everything that baby has worn is from Frenchys, and he is the best dressed kid in town! The day I found out I was pregnant I started shopping, and it has become an addiction! I find it very therapeutic going down on Sundays afternoons. Our Amherst location, I must say, is quite the happen'in spot!! You don't have to be a millionaire to dress like one!

We travel to Nova Scotia at least once a year and while I had seen Guy’s Frenchys around, I had no idea what treasures lie within those doors! Fabulous higher end name brands and prices that are rock bottom is tremendous! The thrill is in the hunt and you can be sure that Guy’s Frenchys will now always be a stop on my "to do" list while I'm in the Maritimes!

Last week in Digby I found a fabulous jacket. Several shoppers nearby kindly paused a moment to encourage me and say how 'perfect' it was on me, and my sweetheart beamed and said: "You should get it!". So I happily carried it around to look further for more 'treasures" as I like to call them... Blissfully lost in my shopping spree - it was probably 15 or 20 minutes later on the far side of the store when I noticed - I wasn't carrying my purse!

I looked around, re-traced my steps - No purse in likely places ... I remembered hanging it on a rack. I was crest-fallen to think it might have walked when I was so distracted....

I was heading for the door, thinking I ought to look for its discarded remains in the parking lot, when I saw dear Ann with it at the cash! She told me she'd just done her regular check of the aisles, and found it! - She had alerted management, and was just preparing to try to phone to find me. I was SO Happy! - Honest - it felt like my faith in humanity was fully restored to that I had as a child.

Guy's Frenchys is truly an awesome, wonder-full place in many, many ways.

Thank you very much Ann.
And Thank you Guy's!

My family moved to Bear River in 1973 when I was 6 years old. My mom would take my sister and I to the Guy’s Frenchys store in Digby and while she shopped for clothes for the whole family, my sister and I would look for evening dresses to use for "dress-up". We found some incredible pieces. Every time we would go, (up until I was about 15 years old) we would find cocktail and evening dresses from the 1950's, opera length gloves and stunning shoes and purses. My only regret is that we didn't keep any of those clothes. Now I live in Toronto and I see dresses from the 50's that are being sold at stores that specialize in "vintage clothing" and they are selling these dresses from between $200.00 and $400.00 a piece. My mom probably paid 50 cents for each dress that she bought us from Guy’s in the 1970's. My mom is once again living in Bear River and I come to visit her every summer. She shops at Guy’s Frenchys a couple of times a week and while I'm visiting, I go with her every time. I come back to Toronto with a whole new wardrobe and I am always asked where I got my clothes and how much I paid. I love to watch the reaction that people have when I tell them that I bought them second hand and I didn't pay more than $4.50 for any one item.

I love Frenchys. It is a part of my childhood memories and continues to be an important part of the life of my mother and myself. Thank you for making so many people happy and more importantly, providing good quality clothing at very affordable prices for people who might not be able to clothe themselves or their families otherwise.

I felt compelled to send this email and let you know I think you have the nicest staff out of any place that I shop. I am a Financial Advisor in Saint John and take great pride in the service I offer my clients. I do not expect any less for myself and your staff at the Westside location are the best. From Pat, Mary Jane, Heather, Patty, etc. you are treated like a long lost friend each time you go to the store.

I truly hope you appreciate this great staff and it would be nice if you shared this email with them. You should be very proud and I think you are very fortunate to have these employees.

We summer in Nova Scotia and have hit 8 Guys Frenchys so far. The one in St John's is the best we've been to for winter clothes selection, and on this blustery cold day, I am cozy in my hand knit Irish sweater from Guys Frenchy. We hope to visit all of your stores as part of a summer tour!

All I can say is that we would all be naked at our house without you! The kids favorites come from your stores, I get more compliments on the items from your locations than what I buy at retail prices. My husband is disappointed if I don’t bring him home great clothes like I get for the kids.

Thanks again!

"I love Guy's Frenchys. I buy all my clothes at the Amherst store. I never buy new clothes and hate to look at them and the prices when I know I can find something just as good or better for a lot less money at Guy's Frenchys. Keep up the good work and I also like that you are getting into other things like dishes, shoes, books, and gift items. No need to shop anywhere else!"

"I love it! Clothes I bought at Guy's Frenchys took up more room in the car than all the clothes I brought from home! Looking forward to next year!

"I love shopping at Guy's Frenchys! Its what I do for "me" time and great therapy for whatever ails me, only trouble is the closets and drawers in the house are filled to overflowing! :) Don't find a lot for myself but my daughter is definitely "cool". I especially like the store in Sackville for kid's clothes. I see another shopping spree in my near future... possibly tomorrow! :)"

"I just love Guy's Frenchys. My two teenage daughters and myself have some of our best times shopping for hidden treasure at your stores. I believe these hunts for unique items have assisted my daughters in their ability to view life at all angles!! Thanks for the lessons in creativity."

"Guy's Frenchys is the best place to shop. My friends and I are avid shoppers. It's so much more exciting to rummage around in bins then it is to look at stuff on hangers (like at the Salvation Army). "Someone's trash is another person's treasure"... is the perfect motto for Guy's Frenchys. Second hand clothing is as good as new after its been through the wash. And a lot of it is brand names from the Sates. A new outfit from Guy's Frenchys for less than $10! How wicked is that?"

"To Whom It May Concern: I am an avid Guy's Frenchys shopper. I enjoy all Guy's Frenchy stores and do not care much for the consignment stores. I enjoy looking in bins and finding a treasure and believe me I have found a few from Tommy Hilfiger to Calvin Klein, Guess, GAP... I use Frenchys as therapy, when I am there shopping nothing else enters my mind. My friend and I are hoping to do a Guy's Frenchys run next weekend, which we never have done before. We want to go from Yarmouth through to Coldbrook, stay overnight somewhere in the middle and return home Sunday. See ya next weekend."

"I Love Guy's Frenchys! I have a sister in Kentville and one in Greenwood, Nova Scotia. I love visiting them because I can shop in your stores. Twice a year a good friend of mine and her sister make the "Frenchy Run" we make a day of it and hit all the stores along the highway. Keep up the great job."
